For those of its customers, who are new to the international trade, Glopal provides an International Shipping Service (Parcel Forwarding).
This delivery option covers a part of the service sellers often struggle with and allows foreign buyers to have a reasonably priced and reliable shipping option to have their products delivered internationally.
On the other hand, merchants who have an established international delivery service already in place, have an option to offer their own shipping options on Glopal's international shipping either alongside Glopal's shipping or exclusively.
How does it work?
After the Direct Shipping is enabled, Glopal will start dynamically fetching the international delivery price and estimated time from your domestic site.
By dynamically we mean, that:
- type, dimensions and number of items in the cart are taken into consideration
- your own delivery option will be shown on the international checkout only if you already provide shipping to the country in question.
Otherwise Glopal's Parcel Forwarding will remain the only delivery option (if enabled)
Depending on the chosen set up, the shopper will be provided with:
- Glopal's Parcel Forwarding and your own international shipping options (up to 4 options total will be shown)
- your own international shipping options only.
How to set this up?
To take advantage of this feature you need to be our Pro Plan subscriber.
As a part of the Pro Plan package you have a dedicated Account Manager, who will reach out to you in the initial phase of your journey with Glopal to help you set everything up and answer any questions you might have.
Please let your Account Manager know that you would like to have Direct Shipping enabled and he/she will trigger this process on our end and let you know when it's done and active.
Of course you can also enable and disable this feature at any moment by reaching out to your Account Manager with your request.
Shipping service names
We are going to present to your buyers the shipping service names that are setup in your checkout today. This means that if your international shipping service is called "International Express Taxes and Duties Included" this is the name that will be displayed.
We recommend to keep the number of characters under 74.
