HS Code stands for Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System
It describes the type of commodity and determines in particular tax and duty rates to apply.
To know what is the hs code of a product, you need to refer to the Harmonized System (HS).
The Harmonized System is an international nomenclature for the classification of products. It allows participating countries to classify traded goods on a common basis for customs purposes.
At the international level, the Harmonized System (HS) for classifying goods is a six-digit code system.
NOTE:
It's important for us to know what are the HS codes you are using. It's done during the onboarding but also as soon as you have a catalogue update. Different mechanisms can be defined according to the update periodicity. Please make sure to inform your Project Manager about such changes.
If you don't have HS codes, we propose an "On The Fly Classification" solution. Please contact your Project Manager to know more.
