Each Glopal Enterprise integration will start with Harmonized System Codes mapping.
This will allow us to classify all items in your catalogue in detail which is a prerequisite for the duties and taxes to be calculated accurately.
Certain types of products when shipped to/from a specific location will have different rules applied which will result in a different calculation per specific cart.
All of this needs to be stored in our system in order for us to keep the process tidy and the prices accurate.
What are HS codes?
The Harmonized System is an international nomenclature for the classification of products. It allows participating countries to classify traded goods on a common basis for customs purposes.
At the international level, the Harmonized System (HS) for classifying goods is a six-digit code system.
The mapping is done once in the beginning of the integration.
It will not be however automatically updated if you add items outside of the initially mapped category tree to your inventory (or a whole new category of products).
Please make sure to inform our Customer Care about such changes.
