International sites
Since you have already installed our app - even as you're reading this, we are working hard to create the international/localized versions of your store which will be used as landing pages for the international Shopping Ads campaigns we will set up for you at a later stage.
These international sites are going to be near exact replicas of your store with the two biggest differences being language (they will be translated into the language of the shopper) and currency (prices will be shown in the shoppers currency).
These changes are put in place to ensure your foreign customers have a smooth and “local” shopping experience which in the end has proven to translate into an increased conversion on international visits.
According to our experience gathered during over a decade long presence on the e-commerce scene (Glopal has been an official eBay partner since 2012. We have also worked with Amazon sellers as well as Magento, Shopify and BigCommerce based ones) one of the biggest blockers in terms of cross border trade is the buyers’ lack of familiarity and comfort when considering purchasing an item from a foreign seller.
We’re talking here about: a) a language barrier b) not knowing the actual cost in buyer’s currency and not being able to pay in said currency (not having a multi currency account) c) high international shipping cost.
Glopal’s service addresses all of the mentioned issues with our complex solution at different stages of the shopping experience, translated sites with prices in the buyer’s currencies being the first step.
To sum up - not only are the translated sites with converted currencies required as landing pages for the international ads campaigns, but they will also help significantly increase your conversion rate on international traffic.
International traffic redirection
An account manager will reach out to you when the localized sites are ready and live.
From that moment on the international shoppers visiting your domestic site will be presented with an option to proceed to a site in their language or currency.
Obviously they will also be able to remain on the original page and continue shopping there.
Country selector drop down
In order to help the international shoppers navigate between the localized versions of your site, we will be adding a country selector drop down to both the domestic and the translated pages.
This will allow your shoppers to easily navigate between the sites and find the one that suits their needs best.
There are two added benefits of this feature : 1) it’s one of the ways in which we show Google that the localized sites are not duplicated content 2) you should start receiving organic international traffic and orders.
The location of the drop down will be checked by our testers and the widget will be moved in case it collides with your site’s design.
If you feel its location is not optimal please reach out to your account manager and he will assist you in changing its placement.
Countries where the localized sites will be available
To maximize your reach and the conversions on international visits we will create for you up to 100 international sites (full list of supported countries can be found in this Help Center article)
NOTE: If there are locations which you are not allowed or are not willing to sell to please provide this information to your account manager and he will act accordingly.
Glopal’s international checkout
Thanks to our solution your international customers will be able to pay for the purchased items in their own currency which means they are not required to have a multi currency account.
In order to make this happen we will be directing them to our international checkout supported by PayPal. Partnering with PayPal ensures the security of the transactions which are by default covered by their buyer/seller protection programs.
The buyers will not be made to create a PayPal account if they don’t have one, a credit or debit card can be used in “guest” mode.
You will receive the payment in your domestic currency.
The order on our end will not be generated until we receive information from PayPal that the funds are already in their system. Only then will we push the order details to your back end.
International Shopping Ads
At this stage you have already converted your Google Merchant Center to a Multi-Client Account and connected it to our My Client Center (MCC) which is an AdWords account type for advertisers or agencies who are managing multiple client accounts.
- If you have never ran domestic Google Ads campaigns before we will need you to upload product data to your Merchant Center (create product feeds).
You can find instructions on how to do that in Google’s Merchant Center Guide.
Glopal requires these domestic feeds to exist as this is our source of information for when we create the international campaigns for you.
Note - you are not required to actually run domestic Shopping Ads campaigns, the properly created and regularly (preferably automatically) updated domestic feeds are enough for us to proceed.
- We will initially create minimum 3/recommended 5 international feeds which will allow you to run campaigns in the countries we have found to perform best (list here).
If you have preferences or limitations in this aspect please let your account manager know at your earliest convenience.
If you would like to have more feeds set up and more countries active - again, do not hesitate to provide this information to your account manager.
You can also add countries at any stage.

- The campaigns can be managed by yourself or by an agency of your choice. Glopal has partnered with an agency as well, so if you choose so, it can manage the campaigns on your behalf as well.
You can manage everything yourself or use an agency of your choice to do this. Glopal will set everything up for you and then you can proceed as you would normally with your domestic campaigns.
If you decide to leave the campaign management to Glopal we will ask you to set a Return on Ads Spend and the we will be providing you with weekly performance and actions taken updates.

In addition to all steps already mentioned in this document we will perform Search Engine Optimization focused actions as well.

We will implement ''hreflang'' tags that help Google crawlers understand that our locales are targeted at specified countries. It also allows the avoiding of duplicate content issues for locales that use the same content language such as UK, US, AU (English) or FR, BE (French).

Whatever SEO elements you have applied to the UK or .COM site(s) (metatags, sitemaps) will be replicated onto the international sites and translated.
We also localize all website pages such as landing pages you have created specifically for SEO purposes.
Those sites that include significant amounts of high quality content (such as blog posts etc) are increasing the amount of international traffic with this service, literally from day one of implementation.
One major benefit for all our customers using this solution, is that you do not need to do anything as far as the international aspects are concerned.
Any and all improvements applied to your domestic site will have a significant impact globally, as the international sites will effect and implement those improvements also.
