A Shopping Feed is a prerequisite to qualify for and join the Glopal Marketing Solutions program as it will be for us the source of data which will later be localized and used for international campaigns.
In order to set yourself up for success, please see a few tips and good practices to take into consideration when creating or optimizing your feed.

Item ID:
- A unique ID is required for each product.
- Use Unicode characters: alphanumeric, underscored and dashes.
- Characters limit: 50
- If possible assign an ID to a product once and don't change it.
- Don't reuse or recycle IDs for different products, products with variants or if you're running a "promotion of the day".
- Use SKUs as IDs where possible.
Title:
- Create keyword rich and meaningful titles as they will be used to match search queries to your products.
- Make sure to include information on Brand, Gender, Product type and Attributes (color, size, etc.)
- Use words most important to your buyers at the beginning of your titles, it should improve your click-through rates.
- Your titles should be unique and differentiate each product in your inventory.
Description:
- Create keyword rich and meaningful descriptions as their quality is one of the main factors allowing you to improve your click-through rates as well as help with triggering, ranking and visibility.
It's recommended that descriptions have no less than 500 and up to 5000 characters. - Your descriptions should be unique and differentiate each product in your inventory.
Image:
- Images should have a resolution of up to 800x8000 pixels.
- Images should weigh up to 4MB.
- Quality images improve click-through rates which helps improve conversions, and ROI
Brand:
- Make sure to provide the correct brand name where possible, it will allow for queries to be matched to your products.
- Don't use the item type (sweater, stamp, tire) as Brand, be as precise as possible and utilize these keywords in the title/description/etc.
Size & Material:
- Add the ‘size’ and ‘material’ attribute to your feed for improved data quality. Including information on your sizes and materials will be applied to the appropriate categories in Google Shopping and could also improve impressions.
- Add the most suitable value for your item using recognized values from the targeted country for these attributes.
