Google will enforce its new policy regarding contact information starting August 2, 2021.
While it’s relaxing the rules regarding in-site contact information, it now requires merchants to provide their business address and phone number in their Merchant Center account.
Also, Glopal relies on your domestic Merchant Center account and feed to create the localized sub-accounts.
Not complying with this policy puts your accounts at risk of being suspended and your ad campaigns interrupted.
So, in order to avoid having your domestic and localized ad campaigns being discontinued, you have to provide the business information Google requires.
Here’s how to do so:
- Log into your domestic Merchant Center account
- Click on the Gear Icon in the top right corner, then on Business information
- Provide the business address
- Provide the phone number
- Click on Verify number
- Then, you’ll have the choice between SMS or a phone call to verify the phone number. Follow Google's instructions until the phone number is verified.
