Yes, from July 1st 2021, Glopal will be considered as an Electronic Interface for the EU VAT purposes.
Based on:
- the goods value,
- inventory location, and
- merchant location,
Glopal will be either Deemed supplier or Not. If Glopal is Deemed supplier, Glopal will collect and declare the VAT on your behalf. This will occur for orders under 150 EUR shipped from outside of the EU to the EU. Your consignments over 150 EUR will be handled like today, by your existing carrier.
For consignments over 150 EUR:
- if they are shipped DDP, taxes and duties will be collected upfront
- if they are shipped DDU, taxes and duties will be paid by the end customer upon the reception of the goods
